We make good food — and we do good.
We are a culinary social enterprise dedicated to community-led food justice in Brooklyn.
Our seasoned F&B team provides boutique drop-off and full-service catering services, runs collaborative events across the borough, and organizes special culinary and community gatherings.
Our culinary programs are motivated by three goals:
Build Community
Highlight local chefs, farms, & restaurant partners to foster and celebrate our diverse culinary community.
Drive Awareness
Spread awareness of local and systemic food justice issues, using exciting, accessible events and delicious food as entry points.
Resource the Work
Generate income that can directly resource food justice work in our communities.
We invest 100% of our profits to support grassroots food justice work.
We believe that everyone deserves access to good, fresh and culturally relevant food — and we believe in redistributing funds to resource the organizations working to make this possible in their communities.
Alongside other aligned food businesses and volunteers, we collaboratively operate FIG Food Security Program (FSP), which delivers fresh produce and weekly groceries to New Yorkers on the frontlines of fighting food apartheid.
We also dedicate ongoing labor and culinary resources to our community. We offer culinary services and operational support at low-to-no cost to the FIG FSP and other local grassroots organizations committed to transforming the food system.
- About 1:1 Foods -
1:1 Foods began as a social enterprise meal kit company, conceived during the COVID-19 pandemic to help feed food insecure families in Brooklyn. Through our partnerships with community-based organizations, we donated a meal to a family in need for each meal kit purchased — one-to-one. We pivoted to our current work in 2021.

Mindful sourcing
We source locally, seasonally and organically as much as possible.
We believe that transforming the food system means investing in values-aligned purveyors who are committed to paying fair human wages; practicing sustainable, regenerative farming methods; and building food sovereignty in BIPOC communities.
As a young, small social enterprise company operating in New York City, we know firsthand the financial and logistic challenges of building these principles into our business. To address this, we consciously allocate budget away from the bottom line toward our values. As we grow, we are committed to prioritizing sourcing relationships with LGBTQ+ and BIPOC-owned farms in the New York City and Hudson Valley region.
