Welcome to the Roof Stoop!
Thank you for a beautiful season up on the roof! This series is now wrapped. We hope to welcome you to a future event, soon.
Our Roof Stoop Sundays series celebrates the bounty of the growing season, highlights the deep talent of local New York chefs, and directly supports 1:1 Foods’ and Brooklyn Grange’s community-based food justice work.
-
Every other Sunday, from summer through fall, our culinary team partners with an incredible line up of chef comrades, delivering menus that draw on their personal inspirations and feature the freshest produce — much grown literally steps away from the kitchen on the Grange’s Sunset Park farm!
This year, throughout the growing season, we hosted these collaborative brunches and sunset suppers with 15 different guest chefs — plus friends and family in the mix helping out — across 12 different dates.
-
$5 of each ticket sold goes directly to the FIG Food Security Program, a cooperatively-run free fresh produce and prepared foods initiative operated by our grassroots sister organization, FIG, and supported by 1:1 Foods, Brooklyn Grange, Colectivo Intercultural TRANSgrediendo, Black Trans Liberation, Rock Steady Farm, Pixie Scout and other independent food businesses & professionals committed to transforming the food system from the grassroots up. This is food by our community, for our community.
Just as we did last season, this year we are also giving to a number of non-profits and grassroots orgs of our chefs choice, including Harboring Hearts, Emma’s Torch, The Ciitzens Foundation Pakistan, and Trúc Lam Temple.
